I am also having problems with delayed typing, pages not scrolling right
away, and just today while in a chat with my school's bursar department,
my chat box froze and I was not able to type a response.  Also, when I
switch to another screen and try to open a new window in that screen, it
won't open right away and I have to click on the screen switcher several
times before I am able to open a new window.

The orange film switches from left to right.  Most times it goes away by
itself after a minute or two, but it is very distracting and annoying.

  An orange film covers my screen

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  An orange film covers either the left or the right side of my screen
  and just now it covered the screen completely.  Sometimes it appears
  just by moving my mouse.  It's that orange film you see when you move
  a minimized document close to the top of the screen to be maximized.
  The difference here is that it happens even when I don't have a
  document open.  The screen can be blank or I can be looking at a web
  page.  Is there anyway I can make an adjustment to make this screen go
  away?  It's very distracting and it interferes with the quality of
  what ever I am doing or reading.
