[Bug 899779] Re: Ubunto software center when i press install nothing happens

 

Hi, after you type the password, look on the left side of Software Center after "Installing (1)", also check in application menu for Skype (look in all the lists). To make sure that Skype wasn't installed, open Terminal and type "skype", if "unknown command" appears then the software isn't on your pc. 
Try to install this way: open Terminal and type:
sudo apt-get install skype
Or from this website:
http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-computer/linux/downloading.ubuntu32

Bug description:
  When i press install nothing happens it doesnt ask me to type my
  password or anything? Im trying to install skype and im sure it's not
  the app i tried to install abode and anothier few apps but they didnt
  work... Please Help!
