Title:
Nautilus fails to launch when added to Startup Applications
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I would like Nautilus to open after I login, so I added the command
"nautilus " in my "Startup applications".
However no Nautilus window appears, while the exact same command works well from a terminal.
I also tried "nautilus --browser", same story.
WORKAROUND: We need to add a dot (or any other path): "nautilus
--browser ."
It's true that according to the manual (man nautilus), there is a URI
parameter which seems to be mandatory. However, why should it be
mandatory? And if it is, why does the command "nautilus" (without URI)
work from the terminal? I think this is inconsistent, and it could
easily be fixed.
Ubuntu 11.04
Nautilus 1.2:32.2.1
