Thank you for taking time in filing the bug to make ubuntu better.
i have not seen this issue in oneirics. i try to reproduce it but fail
1). is this bug reproduce able?
2). if so than  describe steps to reproduce it?

  empathy contact list window don't remember position

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: empathy

  When I close and reopen the window with contact, windows doesn't
  remember its position and opened up a few pixels to the right of the
  previous window. When I repeatedly open and close the window, slowly
  shifting to the right of the screen.
