  Gnome Power Manager takes extreme amount of cpu and memory when
  repluging in power cord

  Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

  Had my laptop unplugged for about 45 minutes and then plugged it back
  it. Gnome Power Manager was taking about 90% CPU and 200 MB of RAM.
  Would not update the icon in the notification area on the device's
  power state.
