Title:
computer changes to lowest resolution, after screensaver runs

Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

After locking the computer or allowing screen-saver to come on, the
resolution is changed to the lowest possible resolution. Sometimes it
can be fixed by changing the resolution back to its native size,
sometimes it won't work, and eventually reverts back to the lowest
  resolution.
