Title:
  gnome-terminal fails to save history

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Through normal usage gnome-terminal fails to save its bash history
once closed. The .bash_history file exists in my home directory.

This problem only occurs if using the X button or File > Close to
close the terminal. If I use CTRL+D the history seems to be saved.
