Title:
No signal from external mic on MacBookPro
Status in “gnome-media” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-media
The external mic provides no input signal. gnome-volume-control shows the input channels "internal microphone", "analog line-in", "rear microphone" and "analog microphone". None of these pick up anything from the external microphone.
"Hardware" is set to "Analog stereo duplex", but I also tried "Analog Surround 4.0 + Analog Stereo Input" without success.
Internal mic works (verified with gnome-volume-control and gtk-recordMyDesktop).
External microphone hardware was verified with another computer.
