  Some messages only display "subject" in preview pane

Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Some messages only show "subject" above the preview pane, without the
  additional information that is usually present there. Sometimes the
  body is rendered in plaintext and contains content from other messages
  aside from the one being viewed.

  I've rebuilt the mailboxes several times, but it doesn't seem to help.
  Attached is an image of the improperly rendered header to the preview pane.
