Letters of Fontwork such as 'O' appeared coloured in on slideshow mode, if they use gradient or bitmap. This only happens when hardware acceleration (anti-aliasing) is enabled, however without this fontwork is blocky with jagged edges. Fontwork shadows are also distorted in slideshow mode. This happens in all Libreoffice versions.

3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Impress via the Terminal:

is the slide looks the same as it does in Slide Show mode.
4) What happens instead is in Slide Show mode, the fontwork pattern in
the letter O has the pattern colored inside it, while in Normal mode
the inside of the O is white.
WORKAROUND: Turn off Hardware Acceleration via Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> uncheck Use Hardware Acceleration -> OK button
