[Bug 800277] Re: empathy opens another window if a merged contacts chooses another protocol
1. Start chat with merged contact via its context menu for first account.
2. Start chat with merged contact via its context menu for second account.
Result: Two tabs displayed instead of one.

Title:
empathy opens another window if a merged contacts chooses another
protocol
Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: empathy
If a contact chooses to switch the protocol (which many of my friends with multiprotocol clients do randomly), another chat window opens.
The behavior I expect is like in pidgin: merged contacts share a single chat window.
Also I'd like to select the currently used protocol in the chat window.
