Message #60497
[Bug 908855] [NEW] icons and folders are not organised on the Desktop on logon in Ubuntu 11.10
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I am using Ubuntu 11.10, x64 bit. When I login, the icons, folders and files on the Desktop are all jumbled up , sit on top of each other and there is no uniformity . The desktop looks like a mess. This however, is easily fixed by hitting refresh (F5 ) or by selecting "organize desktop by name" from the right click options.
I think this is a bug as we should not need to refresh . Ubuntu should automatically do it during logon.
Please see the attached screenshot for more clarity. The issue is
visible in the highlighted areas.
** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
