[Bug 825167] Re: unable to add password to terminal on request

 

The password is not shown, in order to prevent others from looking over
your shoulder and seeing your password. Just type it out as normal and
press enter at the end. For more info, please see

  opened terminal, typed sudo add-apt-repository ppa:arand/redeclipse  ,
  asked for password , unable to enter it as NO keys on keyboard will
  appear on terminal window
