[Bug 908855] Re: icons and folders are not organised on the Desktop on logon in Ubuntu 11.10

Thanks for running apport and clarifying that. I'm not terribly familiar
with debugging problems like this, but hopefully someone else can glean
some information from the apport files.

Title:
icons and folders are not organised on the Desktop on logon in Ubuntu
  11.10

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I am using Ubuntu 11.10, x64 bit. When I login, the icons, folders and files on the Desktop are all jumbled up , sit on top of each other and there is no uniformity . The desktop looks like a mess. This however, is easily fixed by hitting refresh (F5 ) or by selecting "organize desktop by name" from the right click options.
I think this is a bug as we should not need to refresh . Ubuntu should automatically do it during logon.

Please see the attached screenshot for more clarity. The issue is visible in the highlighted areas.
