Title:
gvfsd-gphoto2 seems to not free up memory correctly after load

Status in “gvfs” package in Debian:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gvfs

gvfsd-gphoto2 seems to not correctly free up memory used after loaded
and it is necessary to unmount the camera to free the memory.

When my Canon EOS 500D camera is mounted using gvfsd-gphoto2 in
Nautilus everything seems to be OK until I enter a folder with photos
and videos. gvfsd-gphoto2 then loads previews of all files in that
folder, but it seems that it doesn't free up the memory used correctly
because it uses hundreds of MBs of memory or even more. When RAM is
filled, it then allocates space in swap. Neither RAM nor swap space is
released until the camera is unmounted, closing the Nautilus window
  doesn't help.

I am using Ubuntu 10.10, latest gvfs package from the repository
  version 1.6.4-0ubuntu1.1

It is possible that there is a relation with the bug 673137
  (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/673137)
