[Bug 911235] Re: Libreoffice doesn't update printer list

** Description changed:

- I wanted to print a document out of Libreoffice Writer. My network
- printer wasn't online. So I started my printer. But Libreoffice didn't
- recognize the printer (the system did recognize the printer).
+ 1) Ubuntu 11.10

- WORKAROUND: Restart LibreOffice to make it recognize the network
- printer.
+ 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-writer
+
+ 3) What is expected to happen in a running instance of LibreOffice
+ Writer is when a (WiFi?) connected network printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8500
+ is off, then turned on, Writer recognizes the printer quickly.
+
+ 4) What happens instead is Writer does not recognize the printer.
+ However, the system does when the printer is turned on and is able to
+ print from other applications (Evince and Firefox). This occurs every
+ time the printer is off, and Writer is running.
+
+ WORKAROUND: Turn on the printer, restart Writer.
