[Bug 911577] Re: no sound in firefox with usb speakers; suspect gstreamer

 

Firefox doesn't use gstreamer. To verify, try rhythmbox and/or totem. If they wok, this issue has nothing to do with gstreamer. Firefox uses libasound, so I'm marking this as an alsa bug for now. Please run the following command to collect audio information from your system
apport-collect 911577

Bug description:
  I have precise pagolin on two different machines. 
  I have tried over both machines to play sounds through firefox using my usb speakers. It does not work. 

  What does work:
  Audacity and usb speakers
  firefox and on-board speakers
  system settings / sounds / test speakers
