[Bug 906841] Re: Apport keeps launching saying "Ubuntu Software Center has crashed" though software center keeps running

 

There are two things to note here:
- you have updates available which can be installed via the update manager - apport reports this because it could be that the crash has been fixed in the meantime
- sometimes a program can crash even when it doesn't look like it may have crashed, in this case we still want apport to detect the crash

Bug description:
  When first I tried to report this problem (when apport invokes itself
  automatically) , apport refuses to submit the report beacuse of some
  outdated \obselete packages even though I have a fresh install of
  Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 1, I had to manually report this using ubuntu-bug
