[Bug 791766] Re: Atheros WLAN AR5212 does not connect to hidden wifi network
Uh-oh, this looks like it would instead be an issue in NetworkManager,
not wpasupplicant. Reassinging.
To clarify what is going on and whether this has already been fixed,
would you be able to test this on the latest release of Ubuntu, Ubuntu
11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) ? You can do this easily by downloading the
LiveCD at http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download , and running
it without any changes to your computer. Reporting back here with
whether the same issue happens would be very helpful in debugging the
problem.
It would also be useful if you could try to reproduce the problem and
attach the file /var/log/syslog to this bug report.
Thanks!

Title:
Atheros WLAN AR5212 does not connect to hidden wifi network
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: wpasupplicant
Kubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwal - all updates including ppa, KDE 4.6.3
Linux T42pUXGA 2.6.38-8-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 03:31:50 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Thinkpad T42p with WLAN card Atheros Communications Inc. AR5212
802.11abg NIC (rev 01)
Problem:
No connection to hidden wireless network with WPA2 PSK AES
Wireless network name and passphrase entered via Plasma widget
in TaskBar (Network Management Settings) have been double checked for correctness.
This should just work, as it did in previous Kubuntu versions.
