Title:
hpande/vpaned - confused widget and packing position properties
Status in Glade Interface Designer:
Invalid
Status in “glade-3” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: glade-3
When packing either a hpaned or vpaned in a vbox or hbox, the packing
"position" property is confused with the paned widget property.
Create a vbox.
Add a hpaned insided that.
Change the widget's position property to 200 (general property of widget).
Observe that the packing position property is now 200.
Change the packing position property to 300 and observer that the general property "position" is now also 300.
When cutting and pasting the vbox, the hpaned will be packed wrong for
obvious reasons. Seems here, the paste operation connects the packing
position to the general position property. And since both spinbuttons
control the general position property, one cannot correct that using
glade-3. Obvious workaround, is of course to edit the XML file and
correct the packing position.
Also, when created as explained above, it seems the packing position
is not tied to the general position property. Thus when initially
created packing will be as expected.
This is the current 3.6.7 version of glade-3 under Karmic updated as
of yesterday.
