Message #63521
[Bug 240043] Re: [upstream] Impress/Presentation: No sound with custom animation
Joshua O'Leary (jmoleary), the file you posted upstream does not contain
a .mp3 file, as the custom animation sound is apert.wav. This downstream
bug is reporting about a problem with .mp3. Please file a new bug with
your problem file attached. Thank you for your understanding.

[upstream] Impress/Presentation: No sound with custom animation

Status in The OpenOffice.org Suite:
Confirmed
Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
In open office 2.4 which is part of ubuntu 8.04, I have created a
presentation in "impress".
This presentation contains "mp3" sound.
The presentations runs but no sound is heard.
Initially I could not run mp3 file in default media player. Then I
installed the relevent codecs and now I can play mp3 files in media
player.
But "impress" presentation still does not play mp3 sound (It does play
sounds that are built in impress (probably wav).
Thanks a lot
