Title:
empathy crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I marked myself as Available from the messaging menu, then clicked the
Chat entry in said menu to open my contacts list. Instead of that
opening, I was greeted by this Apport window.

Clicking Chat a second time after reporting brought up the contacts
  list as usual.
