[Bug 910257] Re: Update status: Can't go to another window to paste text, looses input
Currently this behaves as designed, the update status dialog isn't
decorated and is hidden from the launcher. It is designed to get
destroyed if it loses focus. The concept was it was a quick way to
provide input to post, behaving similarly to the way the entry behaved
in the MeMenu.
If we want to change that, it will need to be treated like a real window
so it can be found with alt-tab, launcher, etc. Lets get a poll from
folks on this bug to see what people want the behavior to be.
Thoughts?

Update status: Can't go to another window to paste text, looses input

Bug description:
This has enraged me enough times to file it.
A common scenario for me is to want to tweet something and paste a URL. I don't always have the URL pre-copied when I start writing, so I tend to alt+tab to the browser to get it. When I do this, I loose the update status window (can't alt+tab back) and all my input has been lost.
