[Bug 913755] Re: NetworkManager is not able to connect to eduroam

The AP rejects your association. Are you sure the settings used are
correct, and that you really should be using Dynamic WEP with TTLS, and
PAP auth? It seems rather unusual that this would now be broken, and
I'm not sure whether the bug linked there is relevant given that it's
reportedly fixed by a later kernel which was released back in 2009. That
kernel is available in Oneiric.

Title:
NetworkManager is not able to connect to eduroam

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After upgrading to 11.10 from 11.04, network manager stopped
  connecting to eduroam.

I am using a usb wireless adapter which is automatically detected by
  Kubuntu:

  # lsusb

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 058f:6362 Alcor Micro Corp. Flash Card Reader/Writer

  My settings are;

  Security: Dynamic Wep (802.1x)
  Authentication: TTLS
  Inner Authentication: PAP

The same settings was working with 11.04. The main problem can be identified with
CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED bssid=00:00:00:00:00:00 reason=3 line at the syslog. There is a related bug entry here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=490493
