which version of ubuntu are you using ?does this option not work in that
view==> offline contacts  ?

  hide groups with non-connected contacts with favorites

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: empathy

  Is it possible to hide the groups with no connected contacts even if
  there are at least one favorites contact in that group and just keep
  groups with connected contacts and Favorites list ?

  Because if i've just 5 favorites contacts in different groups with no
  connected contacts the list is too messy !
