[Bug 905894] Re: HAM Radio category missing

I've now specified a subcategory of "Sound & Video" for "Amateur Radio".
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#hamradio> However, it wouldn't
make sense to have just one subcategory, and having any other
subcategories depends on having debtags (bug 57418), so this indirectly
depends on that.

There are a couple of things I'm not sure of. One is which name is
better, "Amateur Radio" or "Ham Radio". Another is whether there is a
clear boundary between software for amateur radio, and software for
professional radio. If there isn't, then Last.fm, Spotify, etc clients
would end up alongside ham radio software in a single "Radio"
subcategory. How sensible would that be?

Title:
  HAM Radio category missing

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  software-center 5.0.1.4, Ubuntu 11.10

You have got so many HAM Radio Programs in your repository, but
without Category it is impossible to find most of them. Would love to
have this category added, because I know many HAM Operators who switch
from Windows to Linux just because of some of those Programs.
  Including me.

  Thank you!
