Title:
gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in magazine_chain_pop_head()

Status in “gedit” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Keep Crashing when I right click a text file in Nautilus and select
"Open with Text Editor" from the context menu.

  Steps to Reproduce:
  1) Open Nautlius and navigate to a folder with text file
  2) Right click the file and choose "Open with Text Editor" from the context menu
  3) Gedit comes up for a brief moment and closed. Apport comes up.

If I open Gedit first and open the text file from there (or from the
recent document list in the software), the file opens fine and Gedit
  does not crash.
