Title:
Banner navigation is unnecessarily indirect
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Ubuntu Software Center 5.0.3.1, Ubuntu 11.10
1. Click "All Software".
2. Navigate to the next banner.
What you see: A series of dots, followed by Previous and Next buttons.
What you should see: Clickable overlapping parts of the banners
themselves, as suggested in the wireframe.

It's a little more elegant if navigation between elements is done by
clicking on the elements themselves, rather than separate controls.
