[Bug 915221] Re: gnome-terminal switches workspace

Indeed, the same bug affects chromium-browser. It's a bit of a bother,
I end up abandoning the launcher for many apps because it will bring me
back to the workspace where the app has another window.

The workaround is to launch a terminal where I already have one, via
"(sleep 2; gnome-terminal)", then switch workspace, then use the
terminal to launch further apps, e.g., "chromium-browser --new-window".
Not hard, but does a bit undercut the usefulness of the launcher is all.

Title:
  gnome-terminal switches workspace

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Repro with unity and workspace-switcher:

Open a gnome-terminal session in workspace (viewport?) 1. Switch to
another workspace using the workspace switcher in the launch / dock
tool on the left. In that new workspace, click the gnome-terminal
launcher in the launch / dock tool.

I expect a new terminal window to open.

Instead, I am brought back to workspace 1.
