Yup. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libproxy/+bug/547106 and
going on 2 years old now.

It is, and as you can see in that bug, upstream is not going to address
the very old version of libproxy that Ubuntu is still carrying.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: banshee
Using banshee 1.5.1~git2260a87-0ubuntu1 in Karmic, it doesn't seem to
see my mt-daapd (Firefly) server. i know the server works, as does
mdns on the server because my banshee 1.5.0 on jaunty sees it just
fine.
