Title:
A credit card is needed to pay in Ubuntu Software Center (Germany)

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
To buy software in the Ubuntu Software Center you need to have a
  credit card.

As of now, credit cards are not wide spread in Germany at least.
A huge portion of users is therefore not able to buy in USC without applying for a credit card first.
Canonical and Ubuntu are loosing bucks here!

Most online shops in Germany offer to pay by debit transfer, where
money is transferred from a standard bank account.

A possible sollution is allowing payments with services like
https://payments.amazon.de/home or http://www.paypal.com where you pay
with your bank account data. This may be possible in other countries
  too.
