Changing brightness request root (super user) permission

Bug description:
After today upgrade, any time the brightness change, by manual action
or by the power settings to dim the screen on battery I get a popup to
authorize gsd-backlight-helper to run as superuser, looking at the ps
output I see:
pkexec /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gsd-backlight-helper --set-
