[Bug 917767] Re: New control features are not automatically added to system settings
Well CCSM and Nvidia control panel , and a bunch of other applications
aren't at all random , but external control centers to system components
. And yes - the menu is not locked ,but the integration with it is
needlessly complicated . What more than a .desktop is needed in order to
"integrate" into the menu when there just needs to be an icon . Yes , it
would be great to have all the options of Nvidia fully integrated into
the corresponding menus , but that's just not going to happen . People
are writing standalone apps for linux and not integrations to specific
distros . Is there a mailing list or some channel like that discussing
the development of the gnome-control-panel ?

Title:
New control features are not automatically added to system settings
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
In Oneiric the new version of the control center doesn't
automatically add for example the Nvidia control center or CCSM , as
it used to in Natty . I don't know if it's intended or not , but it's
definitely not improving (and by that I mean it's worsening) the
service .
