[Bug 918072] Re: Selecting other session in login screen doesn't do anything
Thank you for your bug report. What greeter do you use? Where do you
"type your name"? Don't you just select it and type your password?

Title:
Selecting other session in login screen doesn't do anything
Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I think this is in lightdm. This is from a live session, and may not
be indicative of a real installation.
For the last while I've been unable to change sessions from the login
screen. I will select a different desktop environment (gnome-shell,
Unity 2d, anything) and log in. It will just log me into a Unity (3d)
session.
I notice that if I select a different session, type the username, and
press enter, the dot is back on the original "Ubuntu" setting instead
of my selected option. It seems like as soon as I press enter that my
selection is erased and reverted.
I believe this is a regression because it used to work earlier in this
cycle.
