Title:
List of options in lightdm-gtk-greeter's language chooser not correct
  in Ubuntu

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Since Natty the list of languages in various language choosers has
consisted of available translations, and each option has consisted of
a language code such as 'de' or 'en_GB', not a complete locale name.
In Oneiric and Precise that list is provided by accountsservice.

In lightdm, which is designed to serve multiple distributions, the
code that supports greeter language choosers simply provides a list of
installed locales derived from the 'locale -a' command.

To make lightdm-gtk-greeter's language chooser work properly in Ubuntu
and derivatives, there is a need to exchange the 'locale -a' output
for the list provided by accountsservice.
