Message #67693
[Bug 686128] Re: Zoom / scroll behaviour is inconsistent with other Gnome programs
Eog now uses dconf instead of gconf so if one want to set the value it
false so that the application integrates better in gnome, you must
$ sudo apt-get install dconf-tools
$ dconf-editor
Go to org/gnome/eog/view and uncheck scroll-wheel-zoom

In other applications on the Ubuntu/Gnome desktop the scrollwheel
allows the user to move around the document / image. Ctrl + scroll
wheel is used when the user wishes to zoom the document / image. In
EOG the behaviour is the exact opposite.

OpenOffice.org / Libre Office
Nautilus
Chromium
Inkscape

+ others
==========================================================
Ubuntu 10.04 + others
Action:
Pressed ctrl + scrolled with the scrollwheel
Expected Behaviour:
The image would zoom in

Nothing, as the image was zoomed out to fit in the window
OR (if the image was already zoomed in)
The image scrolled up and down
