  increasingly crashes after ctrl-s

Status in “gedit” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I can't deliberately reproduce this bug, but it happens increasingly
  often and several times tonight.

  Happens with one or more files opened.

  Usually (always?) I am quickly saving a file using ctrl-s  and
  changing mouse focus to a terminal window to compile code.
