no  update from empathy..
are you getting this crash during adding account first time...
i guess you have having the same crash as the other people have,,as in this bug

can you just follow these steps to see that the crash is occuring or not,,
see remove your all accounts even the people nearby account..
also remove the id and password of your accounts from "keys and password "
and restart than add the accounts again,,
see do the crash occur..and one thing 'you have to remove the id and password from keys and password'
than this crash must happen.
do so and reply me.
