[Bug 919407] [NEW] Brightness resets to FULL whenever I start ubuntu

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

the Brightness setting in 11.10 resets to full-brightness every time I
start ubuntu. Every time I start ubuntu I have to go into settings again
and reduce the Brightness output by half.

How do you get Ubuntu to KEEP what settings you set in the Brightness
settings?
