[Bug 920327] Re: Ubuntu 11.10 Power Settings Don't Work When Lid is Closed

** Description changed:

- I am using an ASUS laptop with Ubuntu 11.10. The laptop is connected to
- an external HDMI monitor. The laptop screen is disabled and all output
- goes to the HDMI monitor.
+ ASUS Laptop, Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot

- I went to "System Settings -> Power" and I chose to "do nothing" when
- the "lid is closed". Unfortunately the system doesn't "do nothing" when
- I close the lid. When I close the laptop lid the system suspends the
- computer.
+ Power Management Preferences -> When laptop lid is closed --> The "do
+ nothing" option does not work. My laptop is connected to an external
+ HDMI monitor with the laptop display disabled. When I close the lid I
+ want the system to do nothing (keep laptop display disabled and keep
+ HDMI on). When I close the laptop lid it puts the system into "Suspend
+ Mode". I don't have "Suspend Mode" selected. I have "Do Nothing"
+ selected. Please fix this.

- In addition the "blank screen" option does not exist anymore under "when
- the lid is closed". Please bring back the "blank screen" option. Thank
- you for your help.
+ In addition the "Blank screen" option is missing.
