[Bug 885784] Re: nm-connection-editor fails when adding wireless with WPA/WPA2 Enterprise and TLS security
I installed it using desktop disk and is having same problem. So I don't
think (could be wrong) this has anything to do with certificate
location.

Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
After setting the userid, the certificate, the private key and its
passphrase (but leaving the CA Certificate open), a message pops up
saying: "Connection add failed / Message did not receive a reply
(timeout by message bus)"
Also tried it on a mint new oneric, booted from USB, with same result.
