  Nautilus crash when middle-clicking a folder on the desktop

Bug description:
  Normally, middle clicking a folder in a Nautilus Window will open this
  folder in a new tab. Doing this on the desktop, crashes nautilus, and
  the desktop icons does not appear until you open a nautilus window.
