[Bug 923038] Re: no audio/video info in Properties for mov files
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Nautilus uses totem do display video information and totem uses different libraries than mplayer. For the video for which you do not get the info in the properties tab: Can you play it using totem? Can you see the information in the properties tab there?

Bug description:
Right-click on a quicktime video file (.mov) in Nautilus and choose "properties".
Select the "Audio/Video" tab
The "Audio" section shows "N/A" or null values, and there's no "Video"
section at all. See first screenshot.
Gnome MPlayer can play the file and shows all the correct audio/video
information in Details (see second screenshot)
