Bug description:
  [Originally reported as bug #922807 by Jimmy Merrild Krag (beruic),
  resubmitted as apport crash report for Precise]

  Normally, middle clicking a folder in a Nautilus Window will open this
  folder in a new tab. Doing this on the desktop, crashes nautilus, and
  the desktop icons does not appear until you open a nautilus window.
