Title:
unity dash icons invisble
Status in Unity:
Expired
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Visual demonstration:
http://youtu.be/1z_pdBOuOD4
When logging in, icons are never shown. Mouse over does not appear
correct (offset vertically) When applications are started, the
corresponding icons do not appear to be added to the dash. System is
entirely open source (intel sandy bridge.)
tried many varieties of unity --reset, unity --reset-icons, rm -rf ~/.cache, rm -rf ~/.gnome etc... followed by service lightdm restart.
None have changed anything. Do not want to reboot, as desktop has some server functions. would prefer to understand what services must be restarted, rather than restarting whole machine.
