The problem appears to be localized to: nouveau_device_del()

So given that and the fact that this is the first time we've ever seen
this double-free, it looks very likely to be a bug entirely in the
nouveau driver.

  Ubuntu 14.10 upgraded from 14.04

  started ubuntu, saw no unity dash no launcher on left. saw this error
  reported. I can launch programs via TTY1 etc.
