[Bug 1303567]
Created attachment 107084
Fills with transparency fail to show up in presentation
This slide has a faux timeline at the bottom that is basically two
rectangles with gradient fills and transparency. I have been using this
slide with earlier versions of Impress for about 2 years, with no
problems. Now that I've moved to 4.3.1.2 it suddenly doesn't display
properly. I have about 500 slides for a workshop I am giving, and I have
had the same problem with about a dozen other slides as well.

Title:
[Upstream] Impress changes background color in Slide Show
Status in LibreOffice Productivity Suite:
Confirmed
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (development branch)
Release: 14.04
2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-impress
libreoffice-impress:
Installed: 1:4.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 1:4.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 1:4.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
3) What is expected to happen via a terminal:
cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1303567/+attachment/4072202/+files/test_impress_vintage_14.04.odp && loimpress --nologo test_impress_vintage_14.04.odp
is the slide look exactly the same in editing mode, as it does when in
Slide Show (F5).
4) What happens instead is in Slide Show it looks like the background
color changes to white, and the red ribbon in the top right changes
color to black.
The background doesn't change color if one converts the file to PPT
and opens in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 (11.5529.8179) via WINE.
