[Bug 1377299] Crash report cannot be processed

Bug description:
zsynch today's cdimage, 3 october 201`4, booted .iso wallpaper flashed then went black. Saw /var/crash entru sodid ubun tubug.
Had to do sudo service lightdm twice to get a desktop. commands slow as if utopic doing some kind of recovery.
