Bug description:
utopic 14.10 with Kernel 3.17
utopic was updated to 3.16.0-20 then installed kernel 3.17
Acer Aspire 1 with external monitor at 1360x768 built in 1024x600
monitor off.
crash occurred on boot-up of kernel 3.17,
Desktop displayed but unresponsive, couldn't wake hidden launcher.
After few tens of seconds screen flashed to wallpaper, flashed again to desktop.
Seems to be recovered O.K.
