Title:
Network printing fails in 12.04 on KONICA MINOLTA mc1650 PPD
Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I did add a KONICA MINOLTA mc1650 laser printer through System
Settings...
I then used the PPD file from the install DVD. I did configure the
printer IP address to be 192.168.1.51 then I checked through a ping
that the printer was accessible.
However when trying to print the test page I get a Printer State :
"Processing - Connecting to printer". Later on the message change to
"Processing - The printer is not responding." And in the Document
Print Status I get a Status : "Processing - Not connected?"
And there is no way to get any document printed ...
cups version 1.5.3-0ubuntu8
The Printer Properties Settings are as follow
Printer Properties - 'KONICA MINOLTA mc1650 PPD' on localhost
Description : KONICA MINOLTA mc1650 PPD
Location : KMBTCFA56E
Device URI : lpd://KMBTCFA56E/print
KONICA MINOLTA mc1650 PPD
Processing - The printer is not responding.
Test and Maintenance
[Print Test Page] [Print Self-Test Page] [Clean Print Heads]
Thank you for any advice ...
